Rebekah OldenKamp, ND

Legacy Natural Medicine

Hello and welcome! I am Dr. Rebekah OldenKamp (also known as Dr. Beka). I am a naturopathic family physician with a passion to help patients achieve their individual optimal health. I received my naturopathic medical training from Bastyr University here in Kenmore WA, and studied biology and religion at Greenville College in Greenville IL. While attending Greenville College I was privileged to spend a semester in southern Africa studying African culture, poverty and development. This trip ignited the already kindled fired in my spirit to empower people, here and abroad, through patient education regarding health and disease. In my practice I spend considerable time helping my patients understand the pathways of disease and how they can affect them. I employ both naturopathic and traditional treatment modalities including herbal and vitamin therapies, homeopathy, diet and lifestyle, physical musculoskeletal modalities, and prescription medications. I enjoy seeing a broad spectrum of patient ages and complaints. I have a special interest in women’s health, autoimmune disease, diabetes, fibromyalgia, allergies, and other chronic conditions. I have received extra training in a gentle spinal manipulation technique called Activator Method, as well as crainiosacral myofacial release, and biofeedback.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, camping, reading, coffee, gardening, church activities, and time spent with my family and friends.

Jennifer Read, ND, EAMP

Owner
Dynamic Natural Medicine

Dr. Jennifer Read is one of few physicians that is trained to use a combination of conventional, naturopathic, and Eastern philosophies. She uses her unique training to create a personalized treatment plan for each of her patients. She challenges patients to place their healthcare into their own hands, and ensures that each person understands the “why” behind each recommendation. Her goal is to promote confidence while guiding patients and their families toward optimal health.

Dr. Read was born in Cambodia, where traditional natural medicine plays a pivotal role in daily living. While raised in the Pacific Northwest, naturopathic medical school was a fitting step for Dr. Read, as it allowed her to embrace her Cambodian roots. She earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, and went on to work at Dana Farber, a top rated cancer institute in Boston. After spending several years in Boston, she returned to Seattle to attend Bastyr University.

While completing her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Masters of Science in acupuncture, Dr. Read discovered a love for treating children, women, and couples wishing to conceive. Based on these interests, she sought out additional training in pediatrics, women’s health, and fertility. As a holistic practitioner and mother, she believes in starting each life off on the right foot. This involves optimizing the health of parents before conception and treating babies using a holistic approach beginning at birth. Dr. Read considers laughter a cornerstone to health, and incorporates humor and laughter into her practice and into her relationships with patients.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Read enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, watching movies, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She is currently accepting new patients and invites you to come explore a healthier, happier life for yourself and your family.
