Latest News from Snohomish Valley Holistic Medicine

Snohomish Valley Holistic Medicine has been serving the Greater Snohomish area since 2004! We want to thank all of our patients for their continued support and patronage. We realize that everyone has choices when it comes to their healthcare and greatly appreciate those who have chosen to come to our clinic over the past several years.

Medicaid

We have been getting a lot of inquiries about Medicaid lately. So far, Dr. Bowker, Dr. Martez, and Dr. Hurd are all participating Medicaid providers; however, their participation with individual Medicaid plans (such as Molina, Amerigroup, and Community Health Plan) varies. Some plans still do not cover Naturopathic services despite the change in WA law. It is the patient's responsibility to research your individual plan and know your benefits. Some plans allow patients to see NDs with a referral and some consider an ND to be a PCP. We cannot keep track of all of the different plans and rules but do offer sliding scale as an alternative if you find your plan does not cover Naturopathic Services. Please call the office if you have questions or want to know which plans we are directly contracted with: (360) 282-4014.

Welcome, Cassandra Hurd, ND, LM

If you have been in on a Monday recently, you may have had the opportunity to meet our newest practitioner, Dr. Cassandra Hurd, ND, LM. Dr. Hurd started seeing patients at Snohomish Valley Holistic Medicine in December, 2013. She is a licensed midwife and naturopathic doctor and is currently accepting new patients. She is in the process of credentialing with several insurance companies, so be sure to ask if her services are covered. For more information about her practice, please visit her website: http://www.originsnaturalhealthandmidwifery.com/. We are excited to have Dr. Hurd grow her practice at Snohomish Valley Holistic Medicine.

COVID-19 Update

Dear patients,

I am available for in person appointments on Mondays and Thursdays but am still no longer seeing patients with fever, respiratory symptoms, or any COVID-related concerns in the office. I will continue to offer telemedicine visits as an option for any visit that does not require an in-person exam. I am also able to help facilitate COVID testing or provide home test kits for those wanting/needing testing that are not able to get a test through the health department. If you are seen in the office, masks are required and we ask that anyone entering the the clinic check temperature either prior to entering or immediately upon entering (a contactless thermometer is available at the front desk). I will do my best to take patients back promptly to avoid prolonged waiting, but please understand that sanitizing between patients may take extra time.

In health,

Stacy Bowker, ND
